BIMCTLU memorandum to Bharti Infratel Limited

Bharti-Infratel Mokokchung Cluster Tower Landowners Union (BIMCTLU) have requested the regional manager of Bharti Infratel Limited to allot land for construction/erection of Bharti-Infratel Tower with individual land owner within the territorial jurisdiction of the union. The union in a release by its president Toshi Sangpe and general secretary A Tali Imchen said the terms and conditions of the deed of agreement differs from deed to deed and most are unfavorable and unacceptable to members of Bharti-Infratel Mokokchung Cluster Tower Landowners Union. It also stated that the action of the company was “illegal” and each individual land owner were also asked to sign in blank non-judicial stamp paper and the so called ‘deed of agreement’ prepared by the company in the absence of the land owners. Bharti-Infratel Mokokchung Cluster Tower Landowners Union also stated that at any point of time, the union was not made bonafide party to the “so called deed of agreements” and many terms and conditions were not acceptable, favorable and exploitative to the members of the union. The union said it deliberated on the issue and resolved to term the so called “deeds of agreements” as null and void. Bharti-Infratel Mokokchung Cluster Tower Landowners Union also requested the Bharti Infratel Limited to set aside all the so called deed of agreements executed with the individual land owners registered under the instant Union within 30 days from the date of receipt of this memorandum, failing which the union would take its own course of action.
