ZYF general assembly held

Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) held its 10th general assembly of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland on January 30 at Chinikon village under Saltu sub division Senapati district. The assembly was attended by delegates from different parts of Manipur including former ZYF leaders, youth club leaders and village elders. The assembly began with hoisting of Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) flag and delivering of the presidential address by Poujeng Kamei. The administrative report for the year 2006-2010 was presented by the general secretary. The ZYF Zonal offices from Imphal, Nungba, Tousem, Tamei, Tamenglong and South zone also presented their annual report in the assembly. The main agenda of assembly was the election of office bearers of Zeliangrong Youth Front (AMN) for the year 2010-2012. The assembly also elected Romeo Palmei as president and Thuireng Panmei as general secretary of the ZYF (AMN). However, two vacant posts for vice presidents have been kept reserved for the Nagaland and Assam Sector. The assembly also decided to appoint other sectional secretaries in the first central executive meeting. It also fixed the date for handing and taking charge on February 10 at the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF)head office, Zeliangrong building, Kahkhlong, Imphal at 2pm. The assembly ended with the de-hoisting of the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) flag by vice president D Kajaiga
