NICGOA withdraws stir

Nagaland Industries and Commerce Gazetted Officers’ Association (NICGOA) has decided to withdraw the ongoing agitation with effect from February 2 in view of positive assurance given by state chief minister. They are demanding that the post of MD, NHHDC should be manned by the senior officers from the department as before. According to NICGOA president Er. S Temsulong Jamir and general secretary Vitsutho Nyuthe the state chief minister gave assurance to their demand in the presence of parliamentary secretary industries and commerce in his official residence Monday, during the meeting with NICGOA executive committee. It may be mentioned that, the NICGOA January 28 last launched seven-day protest against government order of posting NCS as MD into NHHDC. They had stated that such move has infringed the right and denied the promotional avenues for officers of industries and commerce department.
