Jalukie Town Ao Kaketshir Telongjem (JTAKT) organized ‘Talent Expo 2009’ on December 30 last with S. Chuba Longkumer, BDO Tening as chief guest.
Delivering speech on the occasion chief guest opined that the aptitude of a person to know another person through his or her talent was one of the highest attributes of man in the world. He said a person could be identified without any qualification through other medium adding the two best talents, sports and singing were important in life.
Chuba also said God has bestowed good gifts to each person but utilizing the same solely depended on the individual. He stated if a person do nor realize his or her talent and failed to utilize the same, then the person may lose the talent. In this regard, Chuba stressed that obtaining and nurturing a skill was the most successful art but losing a God given inherent skill by not utilizing it was the greatest failure in life.
While alluding to the contemporary youths affected by various sick-cultures as fallen pearls, the chief guest highlighted that the path to success for a youth was through abstinence, cleanliness and the fear of God. He also said that a youth who leads a life with abstinence and obedience can utilize God bestowed gifts to the fullest and urged the youths to be one.
The programme also included invocation by T. Sungit Longkumer, vote of thanks was proposed by Kotiba, president of JTAKT and compered by Salomi Jamir, youth director and Wangshisongla.
