East Dimapur III re-elect members DIMAPUR: High School Sah/Colony, Purana Bazar East Dimapur III held a meeting on January 2. Colony secretary, G. Tokihe Awomi has informed that during the meeting, the house has re-elected previous term office bearers and executive members for the next three-year tenure (2010-13) with Er. V. Vikheho Chishi as chairman and David Achumi as Treasurer. ARSU general conference DIMAPUR: Akuluto Range Students’ Union (ARSU) will hold its 22nd General Conference from January 14-17 at Lotisa Old on the theme ‘Vying for the Excelsis’. MLA I. Kheto Kinimi, DMC chairman Khekaho Assumi and TO Dimapur Khevito Chophy would grace the conference as chief guest for inaugural Function, Sports & Literary Session and Closing Ceremony respectively. Union has requested all heads of departments of Akuluto town, officers, public leaders, GBs, elders, students and concerned citizens to extend their cooperation towards the conference. Youth awakening prog in Jalukie DIMAPUR: Pastor Fellowship Jalukie Town is organizing youth awakening program for the youths of Jalukie Valley from January 5 to 7 under the theme ‘Youth for Christ’ at Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church. The resource persons for the event included Rev. Kilang Jamir and Alemsunep Jamir while worship will be led by Among Lemtur and team. Ntu Youth Organization formed DIMAPUR: Ntu Village Council in its emergency general meeting on December 9 has unanimously resolved to dissolve two youth clubs Ntu youth club and Ntumai Youth Club and with two bodies emerged as Ntu Youth Organization. This was stated in a press note issued by Ntu Village Council chairman, K. Aningbo. SSU annual session held DIMAPUR: Serika Students’ Union (SSU) held its 15th Annual Session on December 29 on the theme ‘Success in Life through Education’ with DRDA project officer, Thungjamo Khuvung as chief guest. Union has expressed gratitude to the chief guest; program sponsor, Jerry Patton; retired assistant commandant, Lomongo Lotha; Draftery Secretary Office Kohima, Abemo Murry; village council, program officials, elders and well wishers for their cooperation and support towards the union during its annual session.
