ASU session concludes

The 60th annual session of Akuk Students Union (ASU) was held on December 22 on the theme ‘close encounter with today’s changing world’ with Yihamo Patton CDPO Wokha and Meriyan Kinghen lecturer Faith Theological seminary Kohima as the chief guest and theme speaker. Akuk Students Union also organised the 18th lt Thungbenshan Kithan Memorial tournament from December 28-31 with Dr. Ralanthung Odyuo president, All India Trinamol Congress Nagaland as the chief guest. Union has elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure of 2010-11 with Mhachan Enny as president and Surewmo Odyuo as general secretary. Union has also felicitated Joseph Humtsoe on his promotion to director of Horticulture department. Further, the Akuk Students Union has expressed gratitude to guests, theme speaker, programme donor Rhanben Patton, Home Commissioner to state government M. Kithan, joint director veterinary and animal husbandry Dr. Hathungo Kithan and well wishers for extending cooperation towards the union.
