Yanpha Students’ Union (YSU) held its 35th annual session from January 2 to 3 under the theme, “Students for Social Rights” which was graced by Yihamo Lotha, sub-postmaster, Chumukedima and Pastor Rhanlamo Kikon pronounced the invocation. The inaugural session was marked by games and sports followed by general meeting cum election of new office bearers and mass lunch. Further, the valedictory was graced by Hayithung Kikon, chairman Dimapur Yanpha Union and the second day was marked by mass fellowship at Yanpha Baptist Church with special programmes for students. The union has also expressed gratitude to the chief guest, guest of honour, former YSU leaders, elders, village councils, Church authority and well wishers who had contributed towards the programme. Meanwhile, the union has elected its new team of office bearers for the present tenure with R. Hayithung Ngullie as president, Longtsuthung Humtsoe as vice president, Yilobemo Odyou as general secretary and Pidemo Tungoe as finance secretary.
