Nagaland Judicial Officers’ Association (NJOA) executive member has objected the move of Registrar vigilance, who reportedly issued posting order to additional district/sessions judge S. Hukato Swu as district judicial Dimapur by superseding seven senior members, in violation of Nagaland Judicial Services Rule 2006, Rule 17 Classes 1-9 and Rule 18 (1-2). In a communiqué, the NJOA executive member K Chophi said the order was issued on recommendation of Registrar Kohima Bench vide order No.H.C (K) 15/09/REG/1703 dated 30/11/2009. According to Chophi, the association had met January 2 last at the residence of its president and resolved to clarify the position for posting officers to higher post without creation of post. Reportedly, the members also drafted a representation on January 3 last to be submitted to Registrar General Gauhati High Court. However, its president obtained the original draft from the secretary and modified it, Chophi said, adding that the draft was not sent to Registrar General Gauhati High Court till date. With regard to this, the NJOA member has demanded the resignation of its president and vice president for “breach of integrity and judicial fraternity.”
