All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has condemned the incident on January 9 wherein Himahito K Chishi, tribunal general and former SKK president was kidnapped from Burma camp police point to Chate River, Chumukedima. According to SKK vice president, Nguvito N Swu and general secretary Mughato K Swu, Himahito was allegedly tortured by four miscreants who came in a white coloured van and also snatched away his car (Santro AS01/AB8688), mobile phone and purse. SKK further appealed the authority to book the culprits at the earliest and recover the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Lokobomi Union Dimapur (LUD) also condemned the brutal assault and attempt on the life of its member Vinito Chishi, post commander ABSI at Tizit check gate Mon on January 3 by Tongmang Konyak and his accomplices. A press note issued by the union vice chairman Z. Ghunato plead the authorities to book the culprit under IPC 304 and deliver justice so that such ‘barbaric’ acts do not happen in the society and appealed to the public to condemn the act. The union also wished speedy recovery to the victim who is undergoing treatment at the Referral, Hospital.
