GPRN NSCN (IM) Kyong region has issued certain directives to the general public of Kyong region keeping in view of the “prevailing situation” in the Kyong region. A press release issued by Kyong Region GPRN NSCN (IM) secretary Opon H. Kyong and CAO Joseph Lotha cautioned the staff manning government civil hospitals, community health centers, primary health centres or any other government health related centers within Kyong region that their duties were being scanned and would not hesitate to penalize any employees found neglecting duties. The Kyong Region GPRN NSCN (IM) in the interest of students’ community stated that zero tolerance would be shown towards dereliction of duties by government schools teaching staff under Wokha district. It also directed all restaurants in Wokha town to close after 6: 30 p.m and non-compliance would be dealt with as per law of the land. Further, the Kyong region has condemned the ongoing taxation at gun point allegedly lead by chairman of Lotha Region Kehoi campers in the Kyong Area. “Any attempt be it territorial or monetary gain, taking advantage of the reconciliation move by Naga political groups would be counter productive”, stated the press release. Stating that it shall use ever reasonable force to thwart any move of Kehoi camp in the interest of the Kyong general public, Kyong region GPRN NSCN has asked Kehoi campers to leave Kyong area “for the sake of peace in our camp”.
