All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ANPSTA) has demanded the authority in charge to appoint PSTE trained personals who have undergone written exam of primary teacher for filling up vacancies arising due to death/retirement new post creation from 2010 onwards.
The ANPSTA in a general meeting held on February 10 at the teachers’ rest house Kohima has resolved that it would appeal to authority in charge to appoint the PSTE trained personals and appointment be given to PSTE trained personals for filling up of any vacancies. In the event of failing to comply with its demands, the ANPSTA stated it would be compelled to initiate further steps.
Meanwhile, ANPSTA also stated that re-organisation of unit PSTA (Pre-Service Teacher Association) in all the districts of Nagaland must be carried out with immediate effect i.e. on or before February 25with the following in charges to submit Rs. 300 per head to their respective unit presidents: Wokha, Z. Members failing to pay the amount would not be counted as members of ANPSTA, stated the release and added that respective unit president would be the action committee of ANPSTA.
The house also resolved to appoint Wekupe Dikha as publicity and information secretary and Vilasienuo Medom as assistant secretary for the tenure 2009-10.
