Funeral service of late N. Sema DIMAPUR: Funeral service of late N.S Sema (Alfred) joint director of Agriculture department will be held on February 13, 12 noon at local ground, Diphupar 4th Mile, Dimapur. Lui-Ngai-Ni festival DIMAPUR: Lui-Ngai-Ni 2010 festival will be celebrated in Tahamzam (Senapati) on February 15 with Apei Hinga, chief of Maram as chief celebrant. Besides, Naga cultural troupes, Kuki dance and Gorkha dance will be presented by Khengjang and Kalapahar villages and cultural presentation by Chakpa-Lois. Organisers informed that Katomi village would provide accommodation to official tribe delegates. Meanwhile,South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) will be celebrating seed sowing festival (Lui-Ngai-Ni) on February 15 at Tenyimi complex, near Tragopan hotel. Bonny Dilbung, convener organizing committee SNUNS has requested all to attend the celebration. Further, Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has expressed happiness over the participation of Southern Nagas in celebrating Lui-Ngai-Ni 2010 festival. Bible Quest 2009 results DIMAPUR: Result for Bible Quest written exam 2009 has been declared and available at the office of Faith Theological College (FTC), Ura Villa Colony Dimapur. Participants have been requested to collect certificates from the college office. Further, FTC founder principal, Rev. Dr. S. Gangte has informed that Bible Quest 2010 would be held on the last Sunday of August, based on two books- Leviticus (Old Testament) and the Gospel of Luke (New Testament). ZSW special recruitment rally DIMAPUR: Zila Sainik Welfare (ZSW) Dimapur has informed that Special Recruitment Rally for sons/real brother of ex-servicemen and serving personnel would be conducted on February 15 at Kohima and February 16 at Dimapur. It has further informed that names of dependent (real son/brother) of ex-servicemen and serving personnel of Army/Navy/Air Force should be notified in Part II order and entered in Discharge Book of ex-servicemen and for dependent of serving personnel, Relationship Certificate to be produced duly signed by their commanding officers. ZSW officer, Lt. Col. PSTE meeting DIMAPUR: All PSTE trainees and undergoing trainees of Dimapur district have been requested to attend emergency meeting on February 20, 1 a.m at Dimapur DIET, Virazoma village (7th mile). Trainees have also been informed to submit membership fee of rupees 350. Further, all PSTA personnel have been informed to attend another meeting on February 20, 10 a.m at Jalukie town at SIEPA office. Western Yimchungrü Hoho DIMAPUR: Western Yimchungrü Hoho (WYH) has convened an emergency meeting on February 20 at 9am at Old Showuba village council hall. H. Lakiumung Lims, general secretary WYH has requested all the office bearers, advisors and executive members to attend the meeting. Sumi Students’ Union meeting DIMAPUR: Second Union Assembly of All Sumi Students’ Union (SSU) will be held on February 27, 10 a.m at Tourist Lodge Dimapur. All SKK unit, tribunals of SKK and members have been requested to attend the meeting. Benreului Baptist Union DIMAPUR: Benreului Baptist Union (BBU) youth wing has convened an executive meeting on February 13, 9am at Mhainamtsi village. KDPA get together programme Kohima : Get together programme of Kohima District Pensioners Association (KDPA) will be held on February 23, 10 am at the premises of KDPA’s rest House Ladies Mile, Kohima. Police recover stolen vehicle KOHIMA: Kohima police today recovered a stolen Bolero left abandoned near a nullah below the New Secretariat area Friday afternoon. According to police, the Bolero bearing registration No NL-10-5233 belonging to one Dr.Kevingulie, Medical Superintendent, Wokha District Hospital was reportedly stolen from Lower Bayavu last night and was left abandoned at around 4 pm. In this regard a case has been registered at the North Police Station. (Correspondent) Workshop for teachers Dimapur: Dimensions Institute for Education & Research Teachers’ Training will be organising workshop for teachers from February 13 to 16 at AIDA centre, Dimapur. The topics would include talk on phonetics, skills of class, room teaching, motivation, management, creative learning and confidence. CUK, YUK settle accident case DIMAPUR: Chimonger Union Kohima (CUK) and Yaongyimsen Union Kohima (YUK) have informed that February 8 incident has been amicably settled between the victim and vehicle owner in the presence of CUK and YUK. T. Lemili Sangtam, president CUK and O. Lima Longkumer, president YUK in a joint press statement informed that incident took place at Mohonkola, Kohima wherein a zonal taxi bearing registration number NL-01T/7364 owned by Maipangnok of Yaongyimsen village knocked down and injured Muthingnyuba Sangtam, retired PA to DC Tuensang of Chimonger village. NASU inform students DIMAPUR: Nihokhu Area Students’ Union (NASU) has informed that Phushika Awomi, former president NSF has assured to award rupees ten thousand to each candidate securing within top 20 up to five years under NASU jurisdiction. In this regard, union has appealed all students to do their best in the ongoing examinations.
