The Army recruitment rally in Kohima drew an overwhelming response from candidates on the opening day on Sunday. Approximately 1200 Candidates from all districts of Nagaland appeared for physical fitness tests and physical measurements, including almost 600 candidates from Dimapur alone. About 500 candidates of Nagaland, passed the physical fitness tests, and physical measurements at the Army recruitment rally conducted at Kohima.
The army recruitment rally is held under the aegis of army recruiting office Rangapahar at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. According to defense release, civil administration rendered support to recruitment rally in terms of magisterial, police cover, and medical cover for the candidates.
EAC Kohima Neilezo was also present at the venue of the recruitment rally and Rajya Sainik Board and Zila Sainik Board Kohima, also rendered support to the Rally. A large number of their kith and kin were also present at the IG Stadium to witness the Recruitment tests, being conducted in a transparent manner.
Candidates from Nagaland will undergo the medical examination and checking of documents on February 15. Candidates of Manipur hailing from Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul districts will also undergo physical fitness tests and physical measurements.
