GPRN/NSCN clarifies on defection of members

GPRN/NSCN has clarified a news item which appeared in a section of local media on defection of one Kilangmeren, son of Odensangba, Maoyimti and Moasunep, son of late Bendangtoshi, Moayimti, both in the rank of S.O, MIP, GPRN/NSCN which was issued by one I Tia Imchen, SS CAO, Ao Region. GPRN/NSCN denied that MIP had ever encountered the two persons and there was no record of the two in the entire GPRN/NSCN secretariat. GPRN/NSCN in a press release stated that the report which appeared in February 9 about the defection of the two to IM was a ‘mere invention’ of I Tia Imchen the “’so-called CAO, IM’ to gain ‘cheap’ publicity. Meanwhile, Office of camp Commander, 2nd Brigade, Naga Army has issued discharge order of Pte. Khelito bearing Naga Army no. 17718, daughter of Khekiye, Natha Old Village, Sumi Region on charges of “immorality”, and Corporal Aloto, bearing Naga Army No. AX-40466, son of Khutovi, Nihokhu Village, UT I Region on medical ground. “The service rendered by him is praiseworthy. The Nation wishes him the very best in all his future endeavors” stated GPRN/NSCN. Meanwhile, the office of the secretary to GPRN has issued a discharge order of Akahoto Chophy, Section Officer (S.O), son of late Tokiye Chophy, Sumi Region on health ground and also a discharge order of Hokiye Achumi, Khapur, son of N Sumi, Hoito Village, UT I on health ground. While appreciating the two former civil officers for their contribution towards the Naga Nation, the GPRN/NSCN wished them the very best in their future endeavors.
