LFA team in Hongkong

Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA), Nagaland is currently in Hongkong on an exposure trip on HIV and AIDS from February 8 – 16. The LFA team headed by minister for health and family welfare, Kuzholuzo Nienu and deputy speaker NLA, Ralanthung Yanthan along with eight members on February 10 visited department of health headquarters Hongkong and met the technical staff there. The team also visited the Red Ribbon Centre on February 11 where they held discussion on issues related to HIV and AIDS at Hongkong and China, according to a statement from the state coordinator, LFA. The purpose of the visit to few best practice sites was to deepen the insights of the core members of LFA for effective implementation of HIV and AIDS prevention programmes launched by the government of Nagaland and adopt similar programmes in the context of the state by framing relevant policies. The technical arrangement for the visits was done by UNAIDS – China, Beijing through UNAIDS – India.
