Nikhil to address meet DIMAPUR: State governor Nikhil Kumar will be addressing HoDs and AHoDs meeting scheduled on February 22. All HoDs and AHoDs have been requested to attend the meeting. Grants for govt schools DIMAPUR: All GPS, GMS, GHS and GHSS under Dimapur district have been informed to submit photo copy of updated bank passbook for release of yearly grants to District Education Officer (DEO) Dimapur. Further, a meeting for all principal/headmaster/headmistress of GHS & GHSS under Dimapur district has been convened on February 18 at DEO’s office at 11am. AAY rice distribution Kohima: The AAY Rice for two months will be distributed to FPS/ village council of Kohima centre from the office of the assistant director Food and Civil Supplies, Kohima on February 22 and 23 between 11 am to 3.00 pm. The FPS/ village council have been requested to collect their quota within the stipulated period. WSBAK Revival hour DIMAPUR: Revival Hour organized by Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) on theme ‘Now is the time’ will be held at Toluvi Baptist Church, Toluvi village from February 19 to 21. Rev. Dr. Melinda, President, International Foundation Ministries from USA, Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, Director, Sumi Baptist Convention, Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu, Executive Secretary, WSBAK will be the speakers during the 3-day long programme. Organisers informed that special service for government servants and entrepreneurs/ businessmen and family dedication will be held on February 21. PSTE meeting DIMAPUR: All PSTE trained personals and undergoing trainees from Wokha district have been informed to attend general meeting to be held on February 20 at IDCCS office, near Lotha Students Union office. Members have been directed to submit Rs. 350. Members failing to attend or pay membership will not be counted as members of All Nagaland Pre-services Teachers Association (ANPSTA) as per decision taken on February 10 at Teachers Rest House Kohima. LVC meeting DIMAPUR: Longki Village Committee (LVC) Borlengri, Karbi Anglong Assam has convened a general meeting on February 20, 9am at the residence of its treasurer, Nrithung Ngully. All land owners and public of Longki village have been requested to attend the meeting. Meeting on railway line DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of land owners and village council authorities, GBs and chairmen of Thahekhu, Thilixu, Toulazouma, Kuda, Sovima, Virazouma, Khriezephe and Chumukedima and other connected villages has been convened on February 17 at 2 pm at CPO Hall, Chumukedima town, near local ground. Convenor, NFR Land Owners’ Union, T Shuya in a press release informed that the meeting would discuss issues relating to NFR broad gauge line from Dimapur to Zubza. All village representatives have been requested to share opinions in the meeting. National Council meeting in Indore DIMAPUR: BJP Nagaland Unit office bearers with 24 members led by its president M. Chuba Ao would be attending National Council meeting on February 18 and 19 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The meeting would deliberate on various issues including policy making body of party constitution. State unit BJP party members have wished the team a successful and safe trip. Dimapur Naga Students’ Union assembly DIMAPUR: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) will hold its second union assembly for the tenure 2009-11 on February 17 at Nagaland Science Centre, behind Super Market Dimapur at 11am. All constituent unit presidents, general secretaries, representatives, senior leaders and executive members have been requested to attend the assembly. Further, union assembly speaker has informed that election/induction to vacant posts would be conducted during the assembly session. TPO to celebrate Tenyimi Day KOHIMA: Tenyimi People’s Organization has decided to jointly celebrate Tenyimi Day on February 22 at Mekhroma as discussed at a meeting on January 28. The organization decided that Tenyimi Day would be celebrated with mass participation of the entire Tenyimi community in the most befitting manner. It appealed to all its constituent units to celebrate the day in true spirit of forgiveness of any past misdeeds and re-commit themselves to uphold the virtues of oneness, love and unity. IGNOU induction programme KOHIMA: Induction programme of IGNOU for students admitted for January 2010 will be held on March 6 at 10 am at Study Centre-2001 located at Nagaland College of Teacher Education, Kohima. All students have been asked to attend the induction session. SGSA meeting DIMAPUR: Sumi Games & Sports Association (SGSA) has convened a joint meeting on February 23 at WSSA office, Chekiye village at 10am. All SGSA executive members, WSSA president and general secretary, Sumi Hoho trophy host committee convener and general secretary have been requested to attend the meeting. Further the association has informed that there would be a draw of fixture for the 2nd Sumi Hoho Trophy at 2pm on the same day. All area team managers/representatives have been requested to submit Rs.3000 as entrance fee.
