FCI supplies being unloaded at unauthorized store. (NP)

Long time practice of unloading Food Co-operation of India (FCI) supplies at unauthorized location/ stores in Mon have been unearthed. The large and well spaced FCI godown is no more in use, as the supplies are stored at unauthorized private stores/ shops. Headmaster Konjong School, Nyamto, who was a witness to the entire episode of unloading FCI supplies at a private shop near a Bus stand, informed this correspondent about the activity on Wednesday at around 5:45 p.m. When inquired under whose order the supplies were unloaded, the shop keepers mentioned the name of one Inspector, Food and Civil Supplies Mon. They also informed that there were at least five private stores/ shops within the town where FCI supplies were stored. Konyak Union vice president, Wangpai and Nyamto were also witnesses to the episode.
