The online registration under computerization of employment exchange programme was officially launched on Friday at regional employment exchange, Kohima.
Launching the programme, Parliamentary Secretary, Housing, labour & Employment, Er.T. Saku Aier said computers had become indispensable in the day and age and one had to move along with the times. He said online registration under computerization of employment exchange was very important project which would be of great benefit for the job seekers as well as the employers. Since the information of the job seekers would be readily available, it would make things easier for everyone and would also save time, he said. The Parliamentary secretary also expressed hope that the revenue of the department would also be generated through the project and congratulated the department for implementing the project under the computerization programme and also thanked the NIC for their technical support.
In his speech, Labour & Employment, join secretary K. Miasalhou said launching of the online registration would facilitate the job seekers in a very beneficial many and informed that the online registration was the first step of many other facilities of the department.
Principal System Analyst from NIC said project would help the department to maintain the records in a systematic manner and benefit all users. The software for the online registration was developed by the NIC, New Delhi.
Employment &Craftsmen Training (E & CT) Director N. Panger Jamir said that the project was a remarkable initiative of the department with the support of the State government and the NIC. He called upon the officers and staff of the department to extend their support for the successful implementation of the programme.
Earlier E&CT, deputy director Y.Vandanshan Lotha chaired the programme, while the welcome address was delivered by E&CT, deputy director Y.Yekuto Awomi and the vote of thanks REO, Kohima, Chingnyak Konyak.
