The GPRN/NSCN has said it would meet all the Naga tribal bodies, NGOs in phase wise and ask them what they wanted out of the political struggle and also if they were willing for a Naga political convention.
Briefing media persons at designated camp, Khehoi on Thursday, envoy to the collective leadership GPRN/NSCN, Kughalu Mulatonu said it would first meet the Western Sumis at Niuland on February 26.
The GPRN/NSCN would meet the remaining Naga tribes at a later date. “We will not invite NGOs and ask them to give mandate but we will go to the people and ask them what they want because it is not our struggle but peoples’ struggle,” Mulatonu said. Stating that the GPRN/NSCN wanted “political support” he said the NGOs would take its message to the people which will determine the fate of the Nagas. Mulatonu asserted there was no solution to the Naga struggle until sovereignty was achieved.
