Yellow pages have finally become a reality in Dimapur town and for its citizens. The first time in the history of Nagaland, yellow pages was launched and inaugurated by Dimapur Municipal Council Chairperson, Khekaho Assumi in presence of DMC members, Thungchanthung Lotha, I. Nungsang Jamir, Lipok Pongen and Kuhoi Zhimo along with i-fin services stake holders and staff of HTR Cineplex here on Sunday at HTR Cineplex, Chishi complex near clock tower Dimapur.
The yellow pages was launched by i-fin services Dimapur in collaboration with the Dimapur Municipal Council.
DMC chairperson Khekaho Assumi lauded the efforts put in by i-fin services for coming out with the project. He said the launch of yellow pages in Dimapur, has added another feather to Dimapur city which is currently placed under category-B and in order to bring Dimapur into category-A, certain criteria’s and ingredients was required to be present, for which he opined that massive development was required to take place in Dimapur and DMC in its last short tenure had initiated many developmental projects in order to take Dimapur forward.
One of the stakeholders Tokato Yeptho said that in the past, consumers had to sort through numerous MTNL/BSNL directories which was published once in three to four years an hardly updated for the users, however he added that yellow pages would be of help to thousands of businessmen.
Apart from the yellow pages, the i-fin services also launched a website www.ifsyellowpagesnagaland.com. for general net users to access important locations and places.
