DDGBA, DSGBU, NCD: Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA), Dimapur Sadar GBs Union (DSGBU) and Naga Council Dimapur (NC) on behalf of general public of Dimapur expressed gratitude to state government’s decision to constitute advisory committees for pending elections of municipal/town councils. A press release issued by DDGBA president, M. Y. Ngullie; DSGBU president, Pukuolie Angami; and NC president, Savi Liegise appreciated the decision to make respective DCs to recommend names for nomination and stated that it would ensure fair and judicious selection free from political interference. It also appealed to state government and empowered authorities to adhere to stipulated government criteria which would ensure cooperation of general public and a balanced committee capable of catering to the needs of the people. Further DDGBA, DSGBU and NC assured the government/district administration of their support and cooperation for the welfare of the citizens of Dimapur in civic development. ASA: Angami Sports Association (ASA) has expressed gratitude to minister for Urban Development and Higher Education, Dr. Shiirhozelie Liezietsu and MLA & Advisor Information Technology, Er. Vikho Yhoshii for gracing the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour, state chief minister Neiphiu Rio for sponsoring all individual cash prizes in Naga style wrestling and all other organizations for gracing the occasion and supporting the meet, DC, Kohima for allotting the ground to organise the event, WASA for excellent management of venue in spite of the bad weather, all tournament officials who conducted the meet so beautifully, directorate of youth resources and sports for detailment of wrestling coaches and for providing the sports materials, all print and electronic media for wide coverage and security personnel from North Police station and CMO Kohima for rendering invaluable services towards the success of the meet. NCP Wokha: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Wokha village unit has expressed gratitude to 38 A/C NCP for organizing ‘party warm up tour’ to 38 A/C village units which started from January 17. A press release issued by unit president and secretary stated that during tour at Wokha village, 38 A/C NCP president, Yiben Tungoe exhorted party workers to work for bringing change in the constituency and achieving unity through ‘change of their mindset’. He also encouraged members to have faith in one another and work towards bringing unity, progress and development in the constituency in particular and the state in general. YTC: Yimchunger Tribal Council has thanked DAN Government under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio, for appointing Rhakila Lakiumong as Chairperson of the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board. Yimchunger Tribal Council further wished Rhakila Lakiumong a success in her task for the common lucrative of the society.
