: Zone Chairman of Lions Clubs, Lion Omkar Agarwal said he was satisfied on the activities taken up by members of Lions Club Kohima (LCK) on the last many years. He was addressing the 2nd zone meet (Zone-VIII, Region-III) organized by LCK at Hotel Japfu on Sunday.
He encouraged the members to intensify their activities with more innovative approaches so that more new members would be enrolled in the Club. On the fund issue, Zone Chairman said they had to plan out with proper structure and focus on the membership growth, besides they should keep organizing fellowship often within themselves.
Highlighting about the role of women in the Club, he said they should constantly encourage women to join the clubs as their joining the club would enhance not only the activities but also quality service to humanity.
During the interactive session, former LCK President Lion Tali disclosed certain areas where attention should be paid more. He said district Governor had not paid LCK for the last 6 years and such development would only discourage others from joining the Club. Zone Chairman, assured that he would try his best to bring the District Governor to the Club at the earliest. Members from Lions Clubs falling under the jurisdiction of Zone-VIII, Region-III also attended the Zone Meet.
