NNC CEC meeting DIMAPUR: Naga National Council (NNC) has convened Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting on March 3 and 4 at Oking. All central and senior members of NNC have been requested to attend the meeting. NNC in a press note issued by its information and publicity wing has also requested the members to contact central authority for venue (Oking) before hand for confirmation for arrival. TCYO ultimatum DIMAPUR: Terogvünyu Chüpwe Youth Organization (TCYO) Thursday said it would organize a 24-hour bandh on NH-61 within its jurisdiction along the 39-45 km Kohima -Wokha road March 3 from 6 a.m. if responsible authority failed to upgrade the road as per original DPR. According to TCYO, the PMGSY Road from Tseminyu (S) to Tsosinyu via Sendenyu, Sendenyu (N) Khonibinzun has been diverted without any justified reason. TCYO president Jwent Semy and general secretary Logubu Tep, in joint release, said that this has affected connectivity to the villages of Terogunyu, Khonibinzun, Hebenji and New Terogunyu. It said although a number of representations were submitted to chief engineer (R&B), chief minister of Nagaland, governor of Nagaland and the ministry of rural development to implement the work as per the original DPR, no action has been initiated so far. PSTA Peren district meet DIMAPUR: The Primary School Teacher’s Association (PSTA) Peren district has convened a meet on February 27 at Jalukie town. Meanwhile, the PSTA Peren district has elected a new team of office bearers headed by president, Namdigum, vice president, Samlamngauheing, secretary, Keyipeichule, treasurer, Dwayisi and information and publicity secretary, Leihauyile and Nsinlakpe. Inauguration of multipurpose complex DIMAPUR: The newly constructed multi-purpose cultural complex at Zunheboto would be inaugurated on February 27, 12noon by advisor Art and Culture, NRE and S&T Deo Nukhu. Further, he would be accompanied by Khekiye K. Sema, IAS commissioner and secretary Tourism, Art and Culture;, additional director Art and Culture Allem Longkumer with department staff and public leaders. Er. V. Khekato Assumi, executive engineer Art and Culture division has requested all to attend the inaugural function. Ghukiye Students’ Union meet DIMAPUR: Ghukiye Students’ Union (GSU) has convened a meeting on February 27, 9am at the residence of its Golden Jubilee planning board chairman, Aheto V. Yepthomi to discuss matters relating to GSU 50th anniversary celebration. NIC convenes meeting on RTI DIMAPUR: Nagaland Information Commission (NIC) has convened a meeting on March 4, 11.30am at New Secretariat conference hall Kohima to review implementation of RTI Act 2005. All PIOs/APIOs of Nagaland Civil Secretariat departments, offices of Heads of Department in the state including those located at Dimapur and public sector undertakings have been requested to attend the meeting. Kiphire District Sumi Union Dimapur DIMAPUR: Kiphire District Sumi Union Dimapur (KDSUD) has convened a general meeting on February 27 at the residence of its union banker, Model Colony, Purana Bazar East Dimapur at 9am. NCSU Zunheboto meeting DIMAPUR: Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) Zunheboto unit has convened its first executive meeting on March 22, 10am at the private residence of its general secretary, P. Kiyelu Awomi. Atoizu Range Students’ Union DIMAPUR: Atoizu Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has convened presidential meeting on March 6 at 10am at the residence of Akato Sema, administrative officer LIC Jorhat, United colony (Half Nagarjan), near GHSS Dimapur. All presidents with one representative from every unit, advisors and ex-presidents have been informed to attend the meeting. IGNOU induction meeting DIMAPUR: Induction meeting for B.Ed students admitted for January session to programme study centre 2019P under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been convened on March 6 at 10am at Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur. NLVUD emergency meeting DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Nrung Longidang Village Union Dimapur (NLVUD) has been convened on February 27,10am at the residence of Chiporao Ngullie, Chairman Notun Bosti. Computer training institute DIMAPUR: Socio-Economic and Ecological Awareness Forum (SEEAF),Nagaland and Vedanta Shiksha Foundation (VSF), Mumbai would be launching a computer training centre ‘’ on February 27,2pm at Landmark hostel, Landmark colony DC Court road, Dimapur where Nikhashe Sema (NCS) administrator cum CEO DMC would be the chief guest. Capacity building training DIMAPUR: The Department of Veterinary and AH Dimapur would be conducting capacity building training for the selected beneficiaries of 30 sows unit under integrated livestock development from March 5 at 10am at District Veterinary office, Dimapur. Dr. V.H. Shohe, district veterinary and AH officer Dimapur has requested all the selected beneficiaries from different districts to attend the training. Creative Bible lessons training DIMAPUR: The Education and Communication department would be organizing creative Bible lessons training from March 4 to 8 from 8:30am at NBCC conference hall. Arrival and registration timing would start from 8am to 8:30am. Evangeline Odyuo, secretary Education and Communication informed that registration fees of rupees 100, mess fees of rupees 600 and visual aids and books of rupees 1000-1500 would be charged. Dimapur Riphyim Union meet DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Dimapur Riphyim Union (DRU) has been convened on February 27, 4 pm at the residence of its joint secretary, Mhachi Odyuo, Lotha Colony. Motivational workshop at Dimensions DIMAPUR: Dimensions Institute for Education & Research will be organising a workshop on motivation, management, soft skills and language skills on March 8 and 9 at Dimensions Centre, Circular Road Dimapur. Students, teachers, lecturers and unemployed have been invited in the workshop. Registration fees would be Rs. 100 and last date for registration has been fixed on March 5. Tsutoho Village Public Union meet DIMAPUR: Meeting of Tsutoho Village Public Union (TVPU) has been convened on February 27, 2:30 p.m at the residence of its banker Tokugha Yeptho. NATC bans sale of ghutkas and alcohol DIMAPUR: Niuland Ad-hoc Town Council (NATC) has ordered all the shops and traders of Niuland town to stop selling all kinds of ghutkas and alcoholic products at Niuland with effect from February 23. The committee cautioned that violators of the standing order would be penalized.
