NNC CEC meeting
DIMAPUR: Naga National Council (NNC) has convened Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting on March 3 and 4 at Oking. All central and senior members of NNC have been requested to attend the meeting. NNC in a press note issued by its information and publicity wing has also requested the members to contact central authority for venue (Oking) before hand for confirmation for arrival.
DIMAPUR: Terogvünyu Chüpwe Youth Organization (TCYO) Thursday said it would organize a 24-hour bandh on NH-61 within its jurisdiction along the 39-45 km Kohima -Wokha road March 3 from 6 a.m. if responsible authority failed to upgrade the road as per original DPR.
According to TCYO, the PMGSY Road from Tseminyu (S) to Tsosinyu via Sendenyu, Sendenyu (N) Khonibinzun has been diverted without any justified reason. TCYO president Jwent Semy and general secretary Logubu Tep, in joint release, said that this has affected connectivity to the villages of Terogunyu, Khonibinzun, Hebenji and New Terogunyu. It said although a number of representations were submitted to chief engineer (R&B), chief minister of Nagaland, governor of Nagaland and the ministry of rural development to implement the work as per the original DPR, no action has been initiated so far.

Inauguration of multipurpose complex
DIMAPUR: The newly constructed multi-purpose cultural complex at Zunheboto would be inaugurated on February 27, 12noon by advisor Art and Culture, NRE and S&T Deo Nukhu. Further, he would be accompanied by Khekiye K. Sema, IAS commissioner and secretary Tourism, Art and Culture;, additional director Art and Culture Allem Longkumer with department staff and public leaders. Er. V. Khekato Assumi, executive engineer Art and Culture division has requested all to attend the inaugural function.

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Information Commission (NIC) has convened a meeting on March 4, 11.30am at New Secretariat conference hall Kohima to review implementation of RTI Act 2005. All PIOs/APIOs of Nagaland Civil Secretariat departments, offices of Heads of Department in the state including those located at Dimapur and public sector undertakings have been requested to attend the meeting.

Capacity building training
DIMAPUR: The Department of Veterinary and AH Dimapur would be conducting capacity building training for the selected beneficiaries of 30 sows unit under integrated livestock development from March 5 at 10am at District Veterinary office, Dimapur. Arrival and registration timing would start from 8am to 8:30am. Evangeline Odyuo, secretary Education and Communication informed that registration fees of rupees 100, mess fees of rupees 600 and visual aids and books of rupees 1000-1500 would be charged.

DIMAPUR: Niuland Ad-hoc Town Council (NATC) has ordered all the shops and traders of Niuland town to stop selling all kinds of ghutkas and alcoholic products at Niuland with effect from February 23. The committee cautioned that violators of the standing order would be penalized.
