3 held in fraud case

: Three suspects, allegedly involved in fraud case, were detained by Chare police after it received information from Kiphire DEF. According to police sources, a group of Punjabis had reportedly cheated some locals by collecting advance money amounting to about Rs. 24 lakh on the pretext of supplying and sale of various items including, Tata picup truck. Immediately after the information was received from Kiphire DEF, Tuensang police alerted all police stations including, out post, check post and carried out raids in and around Tuensang town. In the process at around 3:30 p.m., the three persons identified as one Lucky Singh (20), s/o Amir Singh; Baluendra Singh (20), s/o Amar Singh and Paramjeet Singh (20) s/o Surendra Singh were arrested. All the three accused hail from Uttar Pradesh and currently residing at Gurudwara, Kalibari road Dimapur. They were produced before Tuensang police station and later handed over to the Kiphire police station for further investigation.
