DHFW to target over 2.5 lakh children in IPPI 2nd round

Along with the rest of the country, Nagaland would be conducting the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) 2nd round on February 7. In a press note issued by Dr. V. Sekhose, principal director Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DHFW) has informed that Directorate of Health and Family Welfare would be setting up 2519 polio booths with 10076 vaccinators, 504 supervisors to cover a target population of over 2.5 lakh children between the age group of 0-5 years and state level monitors would be deputed to all the districts to monitor the overall performance. Further, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare has appealed to all sections of the society specially the Churches, district administration, NGOs, media, village councils, village health societies, community leaders, para military forces, municipals, GBs and others to contribute in creating awareness and mobilizing the eligible children to the nearest polio booths.
