Students tour Delhi, Agra

Altogether 19 boys, one girl and a teacher from various schools of Zunebhoto, returned after a fortnight tour to Delhi and Agra on February 1. According to a defence release, the tour was organized by 164 Infantry Battalion TA as part of Sadhbhabavana programme under the aegis of Dimapur based Headquarters 3 Corps. The team visited India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Jantar Mantar,Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Akshardam Temple, Rail Museum, Royal Air Force Station at Subroto Park, sacred resting places of late Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi Samadhi Sthal, Taj Mahal, Hindu pilgrim centre of Mathura, Brindavan Gardens, and a fun filled shopping spree in Pallika Bazar and Connaught Place. Sharing their memorable experiences with Col KB Jairaj, Commanding Officer of 164 Naga Bn, the children expressed desire to be part of such tours in future.
