Khezhienuomia Youth Organization (KYO), Kohima expressing shock over ENSF’s (Eastern Naga Students’ Federation) action of including contractor Pele’s name – its bona fide member – among blacklisted contactors Wednesday said the federation should have put forth their grievances to responsible department instead of issuing press statement. KYO president Kekrulhoulie Khezhie, in a note, said contractor responsible had clarified that he had successfully completed 1st phase works on NH-155 and even the department responsible had issued completion certificate. Maintaining that even the work for 2nd phase was in full swing, the KYO said how ENSF could judge workmanship even before the completion of work. Also, taking serious note of ENSF’s remark “unwanted situation”, the KYO said if anything happened to its bona fide member, ENSF would be held “solely responsible.” Contractor reacts Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the contractor, Pele Khezhie pointed out that ENSF should have verified from department responsible before issuing statements. He also said that ongoing works were being carried out by skilled labours under the supervision of qualified site engineers. Strongly condemning ENSF’s action and the “threat”, the contractor said it was “totally uncalled for.”
