Awareness on anti-rabies vaccination DIMAPUR: ATMA Dimapur district would be organizing an awareness campaign on Anti-Rabies Vaccination on February 13, 9 am at Veterinary Hospital, Burma Camp Dimapur. The programme would address saving of human life from dog bites. Interested dog-owners have been informed to bring their dogs to the vaccination centre for free vaccination with a nominal certificate charge from the Veterinary doctor on ‘first come first’ basis. All AMC members and BTT conveners have also been requested to attend the campaign. Hovukhu village bans hunting, fishing DIMAPUR: Hovukhu Village Council (HVC) has strictly imposed a ban on hunting and fishing within the village jurisdiction and also informed that a fine would be imposed on any one found violating the order as per the council constitution. Informing this in a press note issued by Vikato Shikhu, head GB Hovukhu village, Niuland has further stated that the resolution has been passed in-order to preserve the wild life and that the council would not entertain anyone whatsoever. HVC meeting DIMAPUR: Humtso Village Council (HVC) Wokha district has convened a general meeting on February 13, 8am at Conference Hall. The council has informed that the meeting would deliberate various agendas for upliftment and developmental works ensuing in the village. All bona-fide citizens of Humtso village have been requested to attend the meeting. WSH executive meet DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has convened a meeting on February 15,10am at WHS Ki Chekiye village, Dimapur. All the executive members and office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. SKKS felicitates DIMAPUR: Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu Sugarmill village (SKKS) has felicitated Absolom Sema, vice president and I Kakuto Chishi, games and sports secretary SKKA on being elected as Cpo, SI (SSC) 2008 and IT facilitator under SSA respectively. The union also lauded them for bringing laurels to the students’ community and further wished them success in their future endeavors. ASK meet deferred DIMAPUR: The meeting of Aphuyemi Sumi Kuqhakulu (ASK) scheduled on February 13 has been postponed to February 20, 10am at the residence of Er. Vikheto Shohe, treasurer, Officers’ Hill, Kohima. All responsible persons have been requested to keep in mind the new date fixed for the meeting. WTEHWF meet DIMAPUR: Wokha Town Evan Humtsothungrui Welfare Fund (WTEHWF) has convened a general meeting on February 20, 9am at the residence of Orenvungo Humtsoe, Tsumang colony, Wokha. All Humtsothungri residing at Wokha town have been requested to attend the meeting. KKK 13th annual general meet DIMAPUR: The 13th annual general meeting of Kuda Kewhimiapfü Krotho (KKK) has been convened on February 13, 11am at Kudawhi guest house, Bank Colony. All the members residing in Dimapur have been requested to attend the meeting. NZC meet DIMAPUR: Northern Zeme Council (NZC) has convened a meeting on February 17, 10am at Northern Zeme Centre, HQ Ngwalwa Town Hall. All the Northern Zeme Area, Ngwalwa Circle of village council chairman, GBs, Northern Zeme executive members, office bearers, public leaders of the area, village elders and public have been requested to attend the meeting. DNSU assembly DIMAPUR: The second union assembly of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has been convened on February 17, 11am at Science centre hall, back side of Super market. DNSU has requested all the responsible members of the different constituent units, president, general secretary and representatives from each unit and executives and senior members of DNSU to attend the assembly. Gospel and healing crusade DIMAPUR: A gospel and healing crusade will be held from February 12 to 14, 2pm at Peace Valley Recreation Centre, Mon Bosti, near Ao Yimsen Karbi-Anglong, Assam. The speakers for the crusade would be Rev. Lanu Longchar, president IEF and Rev. T. Alemmeren, missionary and the camp director would be Lima Jamir, pastor DABA. The organizing committee has requested all to attend the crusade. KNCS emergency meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Kyong Naga Cultural Society (KNCS) would be held on February13, 2 pm at its Office. All executive members and representatives have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, KNCS also wished all students appearing in HSLC, HSSLC and degrees examinations the best of luck. JCC lauds 13 AR KOHIMA: Japfu Christian College (JCC), principal and staff has expressed gratitude to 13 Assam Rifles for constructing a basketball ball court under MCA Project and said the college would remain indebted for the contribution toward the development of the college. WSKH meeting DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has been convened on February 13, 9 am at the residence of its treasurer S. Vihuto Yeptho, Thilixu village. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting. NSCN/GPRN discharge one DIMAPUR: NSCN/GPRN has discharged Wanglat Joseph Hanghkam, Razou Peyu of Pangmi region from the active service of the Nation on health and domestic ground. The NSCN/GPRN in a release said Wanglat Joseph Hanghkam’s “invaluable service” rendered for the cause of the nation shall be remembered in years to come and wished him early recovery and success in future endeavors. 3rd north east poetry festival 2010 DIMAPUR: The 3rd north east poetry festival 2010 will be held from March 25-27, at Guwahati under the theme ‘The Voices of Truth.’ The festival will include readings, linguistics and poetry workshops, screenings of poetry documentaries and films, awards ceremony. The highlight of the seminar would be a day long seminar on the ‘socio-linguistics on the originality of poetry.’ Poets from all the eight north - eastern states would gather at the venue and discuss ways and means on promoting poets and poetry from various linguistic backgrounds.
