In its continues effort to bring unity and peace in the land, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) would organize a peace programme on the theme ‘A Journey of Common Hope’ at local football ground, Mon February 13, 1 p.m.
Konyak Union (KU), in connection with this, has directed all schools/educational institutions and business establishments under Mon town to remain closed from 11 a.m. till the culmination of the programme that day, a DIPR bulletin stated.
Programme would be chaired by MTC principal T. Honlong, invocation by KBBB executive secretary Chemyuh; welcome address by KU president Khoiwang and a keynote address would be delivered by FNR.
“Voice of peace” would be proposed by representatives of Konyak Baptist Church and Ao Baptist Church respectively.
This would be followed by community involvement in unity and reconciliation: (a) Pastors’ Union Mon town President (b) KU Advisor Pohwang. Joint Working Committee (JWC) of NSCN/GPRN; GPRN/NSCN and NNC/FGN would also speak in the function.
The programme would conclude with speech by FNR convenor Dr. Wati Aier and vote of thanks by KU advisor Hoka.
