The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Dimapur in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted a free medical camp at Kamdi village, near Monglamukh, some 42 kms from Dimapur town on Wednesday.
Around 400 patients suffering from various ailments including cadres from the NSCN/GPRN were treated by five local doctors. Besides medicines, IRCS Dimapur also distributed more than 200 mosquito nets and battery-powered water purifying filters to the villagers and the cadres.
IRCS Dimapur members including honorary secretary Inaka Assumi and three ICRC members - Dr. Luc Frejacques (medical coordinator), Meenu Raghunathan (communication officer) and Francoi Boher (Water & Habitat engineer) - supervised the medical camp.
On Thursday, the IRCS and ICRC team will be conducting a similar medical camp at Khehoi village.
