Dmu gets largest Samsung plaza in NE

One of the leading global electronics company, Samsung India Electronics Private Limited on Thursday inaugurated its new plaza at Church Road, Dimapur. The third Samsung plaza in Northeast after Guwahati and Aizawl; this plaza is said to be the largest one in Northeast till date. This move by the South Korean electronics giant comes as a significant move for the commercial hub of Nagaland showing the improving situation and the alacrity with which the market of Dimapur is expanding. Branch Manager (NE), Prasanta P Phukan informed that that it was not like other Samsung outlets where one could order only through the catalogue. “We want our customers to feel and see what kind of stuffs they would be buying. Moreover, we have displayed all the items here for the convenience our customers” he said. On replying to a query about price difference, Phukan informed that the same price was applicable to Dimapur as it was in any metro cities, excluding the difference in taxes. Phukan also added that after seeing the response in Dimapur, the company was even ready to open another plaza in Kohima also. The Samsung plaza displays a variety of products such as LCD TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, home theaters, DVD players, mobile phones and all other Samsung products. Meanwhile, manager of the outlet informed that the plaza would be offering a discount for the next two days.
