IGAR (N) to organise poetry competition DIMAPUR: As part of 175th anniversary celebration of Assam Rifles, IGAR (North), AR would be conducting poetry competition at Assam Rifles Auditorium, Kohima on March 15 on the theme “Friends of the Hill People”. Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio would be the chief guest and N Konyak, minister of school education and SCERT as guest of honour. The proceeding will involve felicitation and recital of Poem by award winners, Padmashree and Sahitya Academy award winners. ANSTA Longleng non cooperation movement KOHIMA : The All Nagaland School Teacher Association (ANSTA) Longleng Unit has called for an indefinite non- cooperation movement with students body from March 15 closing all government institution. According to ANSTA, Longleng Unit president Takangangba, non-cooperation move would go on till extension order of Adhoc teachers basing on SIT report was released by higher authority. TUCT meeting, election DIMAPUR: Tribal Union Chumukedima Town (TUCT) has convened its annual meeting and election of TUCT office bearers for the tenure 2010-13 on March 13, 9am at CPO hall near local ground Chumukedima town. All tribe Chairman/President along with two representatives, G.B’s and Chumukedima Mother’s Association have been informed to attend the meeting. ANAUTA meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of All Nagaland Ad –hoc Undergraduate Teachers Association (ANAUTA) has been convened on March 13, 9 am at circuit house Dimapur. All teachers who have appeared for interview in 2003-04 have been requested to attend the meeting. Sumi Community Padumpukhuri DIMAPUR: Sumi Community Padumpukhuri (SCP) Dimapur has convened a general public meeting on March 13 at the residence of its banker. Each household under SCP have been requested to send one representative to attend the meeting. Chokri Literature Committee Kohima: Chokri Literature Committee (CLC) has convened a meeting on March 13,10 am at Library hall of Higher Academy of Higher education PR Hill . All office bearers and area representatives of CLC have been informed to attend the meeting. Northern Angami Youth Organization KOHIMA: Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO) general conference 2010 under the theme “Youth Renaissance” will be held on March 13,10 am at Kohima college auditorium (New Campus) with Dr. Neikesalie Kire, MLA cum chairman KVIB as resource person. All bona fide members of NAYO have been requested to attend the conference and registration fee of Rs 5 would also be charged to all delegates. KMC seeks Panchayat cooperation KOHIMA: In response to news item over the dustbin pilling up in various colonies in Kohima published in a local paper, executive officer of Kohima Municipal council Alun Hangsing Wednesday requested all citizens and respective Panchayat to extend co-operation to KMC in keeping the town and colonies clean. KMC in a release while requesting for full cooperation from citizens and panchayats also request to check the dustbins in respective area and inform accordingly to office of KMC at phone numbers - 0370-2290252/2290316/2290317. Jakhama officers’ forum meeting held DIMAPUR: Officers Forum Sub-division Jakhama has decided to organise health camps, sanitation and awareness programme in villages and to collect membership fees annually. This was decided in a general meeting on March 9 at SDO (C) office chamber, Jakhama with SDO (C), Linda Solo as the chairperson. Forum also decided to hold the next meeting in the month of April where frontal organisations under the Sub-division and MLAs of both the Southern Angami constituencies were to be invited. Statistical officer passes away KOHIMA: Statistical officer in Economics and Statistics department Tokiho Shohe, passed away on Wednesday in New Delhi. In a condolence message Information and Public Relations and Economics and Statistics parliamentary secretary R. Tohanda said late Tokiho Shohe was a young promising officer in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics and in his death the department had lost a committed officer. Meanwhile, Aphuyemi Sumi Kuqhakulu Kohima (ASKK) has expressed grief over the demise of P. Tokiho Shohe of Hebolimi village, while on training duty. A condolence message issued by ASKK stated that in late Tokiho’s demise the organization had lost a faithful and sincere member, an honest and young government official, and a public figure of the area. PSTE diploma holders to submit document DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Pre-School Teacher’s Association (ANPSTA) has informed all PSTE diploma holders to personally submit attested documents along with 3 passport photos to the office bearers on March 13-14 at Green Park, 5th mile, Dimapur between 2 to 4pm. While stating that membership would be cancelled for those PSTE diploma holders if they failed to produce the documents on time, the ANPSTA also informed those who failed to pay membership fees and ANPSTA contribution, to clear it on March 13-14. ANAATA meeting DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers Association (ANAATA) has convened on March 15,10 am at the Directorate of School Education building, Kohima. ANAATA president, Hekiye H.Liriki, general secretary Solomon Ennio has informed all affected Adhoc teachers to attend the meeting and also notified that fresh contribution from members shall be undertaken on the same day. Wishes for Mileinyi/ Hega festival DIMAPUR: Northern Zeme Counci(NZC) has wished success for the upcoming festival Mileinyi/ Hega festival cum road-show at Peren to be held on March 11and 12. Meanwhile NZC has felicitated Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH) Medziphema for organizing Organic Certification training for different crops at NZC hall on March 9 in collaboration with ICCOA. Seitheke Basa land patta DIMAPUR: Chairman of village council Sietheke Basa, Wezope S Elah has notified that for authenticity of ownership in redressing of land disputes documents were necessary. The documents include sale deed (original), registration card, area in square feet, boundary demarcation. The chairman further stated that without proper documents, no case will be entertained. Village councils to distribute food grains DIMAPUR: As per govt order Misc /2009 dated 4.8.2009 all village councils have been given fair price shop status, therefore all food grains are to be lifted and distributed to beneficiaries by respective village councils from April 1. Notifying this in a press release, all existing fair price shops run by individuals in the villages under Dimapur district has been treated as cancelled from April 1, 2010.
