National Safety Day celebrated at NPPC Tuli

The 39th National Safety Day was celebrated in Nagaland Pulp and paper Company (NPPC) Ltd. Paper Nagar, Tuli at HRD training hall on March 4. Altogether, 150 employees from various departments of NPPC attended the programme. Dr. Neeva Dutta AMO welcome the members and co-ordianted the programme while R.N Sharma, general secretary, workers’ union and Koshy Jacob, deputy manager (IT) administered the safety pledge in Hindi and English respectively. Safety messages was delivered by I. Imsong, DGM (HR&ES), M.N Saika, assistant general secretary, workers’ union and A. Roy, deputy manager, forestry where they emphasized on the vedic philosophy stating that a man should protect man, is the fundamental reason for accident prevention. In the function, DGM (HR&ES) acknowledged the labour department, Kohima for being conferred the National safety Award 2020 to two NPPC employees, S.K Singh, attendant, grade-I and T. Tsuktiyashi, Mazdoor, grade I.
