Retail store for non-fuel products

An exclusive retail store for non-fuel products was launched on Friday at Midland by Ashly gas agency in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The store was inaugurated by General Manager, Northeast Integrated State Office (NEISO), IOCL, A. Pandian. It may be mentioned that with the launching of the store, Nagaland has become the first state in the entire Northeast to avail this scheme and second in the whole of India after Jaipur. While talking to media persons, Pandian asserted that “the main objective for setting up this of venture was to totally focus for absolute safety of women in kitchen and also for a safe environment”. Cautioning the consumers on spurious products available in the market, the General Manager informed that IOC approved merchandise was also available in the store. He also advised the consumers to always keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen to prevent inferno. A variety of environment friendly products were also displayed. However, one of the most appealing products was ‘suraksha’ apron, a flame retardant and water resistant apron. Earlier, the programme started with an invocation by Director, Aloino centre, Anshely Sumi. Chief retail sales manager D. Bharali, Senior divisional retail sales manager D. Datta, Senior manager Niren Battacharjee and LPG (S) Deputy manager G. Phukan were also present at the programme.
