All Nagaland State Services 6th ROP Demand Forum (ANSSROPDF) has expressed “impatience to indefinitely wait for the government’s inaction” on the implementation of 6th ROP w.e.f January 1, 2006 and has served 7-day ultimatum to the state government starting from March 12 to act on the issue. The Forum has demanded that the 6th ROP be implemented w.e.f January 1, 2006 as being given to the IAS, IPS, IFS and other allied services under the government of Nagaland. The Forum said it would be compelled to resort to its own course of action if the government failed to take action within the stipulated time. The Forum in a letter to the state chief secretary reiterated its previous memorandum issued on March 5, 2010 and also reminded the assurance given by the chief minister during the March 2009 Assembly session that the government would implement the 6th ROP in line with the central ROP regardless of all the cadre services. The Forum in a letter jointly issued by its chairman, Dr. K. David Sema and secretary, Vekho Vero said the government had instead notified that the 6th ROP would be granted from April 1, 2010 only to the state employees. It pointed out that the authorities had not taken any action on their earlier memorandum issued March 5, 2010. The ANSSROPDF letter to the chief secretary was the outcome of the Forum’s 3rd general meeting.
