GPRN/NSCN has denied involvement of its Naga Army in the killing of a “lady training instructor” of the NSCN (I-M) identified as one Asha, at Hajong on March 8. According to the MIP, the GPRN/NSCN was compelled to unearth the truth behind the killing owing to the “baseless allegation” leveled against it by NSCN (I-M). It said the parents of the victim ran a shop at No.1 Namphai, Kharsang, Arunachal Pradesh. Further, it said some people of the area have revealed that the NSCN (I-M) ‘commander’ of the area called Ningam was indulging in an “illicit relationship” with the victim for sometime. The MIP said it has been confirmed that “a splinter group from IM calling themselves the Arunachal Naga Liberation Force, have orchestrated the killing of IM lady instructor.” The GPRN/NSCN said it was committed to the Covenant of Common Hope and unless it was provoked beyond limit, it would do its best to hold on to the pillar of Naga Reconciliation.
