NSCN (I-M) has condemned the “joint offensive operation” allegedly instigated by “Khaplang group”, Assam Rifles, CRPF and Nagaland Police on Friday. A release issued by MIP said a team of Khaplang group led by ‘ss’ capt. Khetovi, AR in civvies with AK rifles, CRPF and Nagaland Police ransacked the house of its chaplee secretary, Qhehovi Awomi, on March 12 around 4.30 p.m. at Solophe village. Condemning the act as against the spirit of Covenant of Reconciliation signed by JWG and FNR, NSCN (I-M) said “this act was totally against the wishes and aspiration of the Nagas,” adding that the act was also against the agreed ceasefire ground rules. It also reminded that despite such “provocative activities”, it was all out for Naga Reconciliation as declared by its “Yaruiwo”, Jan 13, 2007.
