ANSTA Longleng Unit calls off agitation
DIMAPUR: In pursuance of assurance given by Deputy Commissioner Longleng on March 11 regarding extension of service to genuine staff under Longleng District, All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association Longleng Unit (ANSTA) Longleng Unit has called off the proposed non-co operation movement for the next 48 hours on March 15 and 16. However, the association president Takangangba informed that incase of no positive response from higher authority within speculated time, ANSTA Longleng Unit would declare total bandh all over Longleng district.
FGN notifies on collection
KOHIMA: The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has informed the public not to entertain any contribution demand without bearing the signature of the “ministry of Chaplee Affairs”. In a statement issued by Litsapa, “deputy secretary”, Killo Affairs, FGN Informed the public to refer or contact the responsible authorities at 9402018283, in case of any fraudulent contribution demand letters without the signature of the “Ministry of Chaplee Affairs”. The “Ministry of Chaplee Affairs (Finance)” stated that rampant tax collection was going on in the name of the Federal Government especially in Dimapur and Kohima and said the public notification was issued by the FGN under the “Presidentship” of “Brig.(Retd)” Shingya to ensure and safeguard the public from harassment.
Pensioners’ Card-D renewal in Tuensang
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Pensioners’ Association (NPA) Tuensang unit has informed that it has taken up Identity Card-D renewal as per Card-D handbook rules and regulations. All Card-D holders of Tuensang district unit pensioners/family pensioners have been requested to renew their cards latest by March as unit would be preparing the list of non-renewal Card-D for pensioners, family pensioners along with PPO which would further be submitted to government pension authority as either horizontal establishment for dead declaration.
Thahekhu Village Council cautions
DIMAPUR: Close on the heels after an abductor was shot dead at Thahekhu on Thursday evening, Thahekhu Village Council (TVC) has issued a stern warning to all individuals or organizations to refrain from carrying out criminal activities or agendas within the village jurisdiction. TVC also said it would not compromise with untoward incidents. While lauding the efforts of the police and administration and assuring full cooperation, the council further clarified that the deceased was in no way connected or related to the village.
