OKM guidelines for students

Ongpangkong range, Mokokchung has issued guidelines for all government and private schools ensure better performance of students and teachers. A press release issued by OKM president Imtiwapang and general secretary Pongenmeren listed eleven point guidelines. Some of the guidelines include; teachers should have their mobile phones switched off inside the classroom, students should not carry mobile phones to school, students should not be outside school campus during school hour without approval from the concerned school authority, commencement of school should be as per schedule and few number of student-turn-up should not be an excuse for non-conduct of classes, vacant teaching posts due to study leave, etc of teacher should be filled at the earliest so that students were not deprived, parent/ eacher meeting for better all round performance of the school should be conducted at least once in one academic session. OKM also stated that it would intervene in any serious dispute between students and teachers,for which school authorities were advised to report matters to OKM.
