BJP campaigns against price rise

As part of on-going signature campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against price rise, Dimapur district BJP conducted a campaign at Super Market, Dimapur. During its campaign, Dimapur district level BJP workers obtained signature from 3670 people and has appreciated them for cooperating with the party in voicing out against price hike. Further in the interest of the public, the BJP has put forwarded a charter of demand stating the middle class people and BPL card holders should be provided adequate quantity of wheat, rice, sugar, daal and edible oil at reasonable rate through public distribution system by giving subsidies; banning of future trading in food grains; constituting a joint parliamentary committee to make fare and impartial inquiry into the great scams of future trading and export-import involving sugar, rice and wheat; Kisans (farmers) should be assured of getting profitable prices by accepting Swaminathan Commission formula; updating to Essential Commodities Act 1955 to contain hoarding; adequate food grains to be made available in markets to control price rise; and financial reforms to be adopted to contain price rise.
