Disaster management cell goes online

  The website of disaster management cell, ATI, Kohima http://dmcnagaland.webs.com was officially launched on Friday by principle secretary, Home, government of Nagaland C. J. Ponraj at his official chamber in presence of Sarah Jamir, Under Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, associate professor, Er. N. Moa Longkumer, Associate Professor and ShYatilo, technical assistant, Disaster Management Cell, Nagaland.
The site was launched with a view to spearhead the awareness campaign on disaster risk management and to reflect the activities undertaken by the Disaster Management Cell.
The website enables interested individuals to take part in online discussion forums related to various disaster risk management activities in the state.
The site has the following links: Profile of faculty members in the cell, hazard profile of Nagaland, History of past disasters in the state, annual training calendar, Nagaland disaster management rules 2007 and pictures of areas affected by various disasters.
