Rotary Club(RC) Bangkok President, Chatchanok Voranuch and her elder sister Rotarian Maysa, who are participating at the ongoing international trade fair at Kohima Local Ground, were all praises for the people of Nagaland.
“People are friendly, simple and we look very much alike”, said Maysa who has opened up a stall selling attractive jewellery sets, leggings, flowers and other accessories made of coconut shells.The president of Rotary Club Bangkok also opined that preparation of Naga food was very similar to that of Thai’s as they also take very less spicy food. She commented that Naga food was delicious. She also said use of plastic and poly-bags ought to be discouraged in Nagaland due to its many ill effects and environmental hazards.
Commenting on Rorary Club Bangkok, its President said that in Bangkok, the club members carry out charity works once in a month, and club members consisting of around 7000 members meet every week to plan their schedule of activities. Club members also extended support and lend a helping hand to the down-trodden people in the form of cash and kind, she said.
