Anti-rabies vaccination campaign
KOHIMA: Agricultural Technology Management Agency Tseminyu Block Kohima will be organising anti-rabies vaccination campaign (dog disease) and its preventive measures at Tseminyu Town hall on March 24. The programme is being organized in partnership with Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department, Tseminyu. The inaugural session will be graced by Ahola Those, additional deputy commissioner Tseminyu. The immunization will be conducted free of cost. Dog owners in Tseminyu town and nearby villages have been invited to attend the programme from 11 am till 3 pm.
State BJP office bearers meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of state BJP office bearers has been convened on April 1,10:30am at the state headquarter office, Dimapur. Lachit Kachari, state office secretary BJP has requested all the state office bearers and frontals chief like youth, mahilas, minority, SC/ST and state convenor to attend the meeting.
Meeting on 6th ROP
KOHIMA: The All Nagaland Services 6th ROP Demand Forum has convened executive meeting on March 22 at 1 pm at Red Cross Society building, Kohima to discuss the next course of action members. Presidents and general secretaries / representatives of all Nagaland State Service Associations and executives members of the forum have been requested to attend the meeting.
KGSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union (KGSU) has convened a meeting on March 23 at 10am at KGPO hall. Botoi V. Yeptho, president KGSU has requested all the GBs, council members, advisor and executive members to attend the meeting.
KIHN annual general meeting
DIMAPUR: Annual general meeting of Kabui Inpui Hoho Nagaland (KIHN), Dimapur has been convened on March 27, 10 a.m at the residence of its treasurer, Dimapur. The Hoho has requested all elders, students’ union, women’s union, members of the community residing in Nagaland have been informed to attend the meeting.
Combine fellowship
DIMAPUR: A combined prayer fellowship of DBPF BYFD NDBWU office bearers would be held on March 22, 3 pm at Miqlat Cafeteria.
HIV and AIDS awareness in Pochury area
DIMAPUR: Pochury Women Welfare Society (PWWS) conducted extensive awareness campaign on HIV and AIDS in Pochury area with the support of Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS) and Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) from March 14 to 20. The awareness campaign covered areas including Phoyisha area, Phokhungri and Kamaleah area.
MBC selected bands, judges meet
DIMAPUR: Mind Blowers Club (MBC) Dimapur has convened an interactive meeting with judges, organizers, patron members and bands selected for semi finals of Nagaland Art Fusion Contest on March 27, 10 a.m at Tourist Lodge Conference Hall. All bands managers have been requested to attend the meeting, failing which bands would be disqualified from semi finals. Further, bands have been requested to submit file photo with their profiles. I.D Cards of the participants would be issued on that day itself. Selected Bands for semi finals are Guts of Wind from Peren District, Image, Malice Aforethought, Requiem, Odd one Out, Project of Evolution, Anti – Trust, Garbage Theory, Alice in Wonderland, Ruthless Sabotage from Kohima district, Black Soul Anthem, Black Venom, Rusty Dust, Medevil, Highland Oracle, Avancer, Flags of Rebellion, Diderot, Magnum Opus, Fourth Origin, Black Creepers, Frozen Heart, from Dimapur district and Blood Line from Wokha. The semi finals would be held on April 24, where ten bands would be selected through 50% public voting and 50% judge’s points followed by a grand finale on June 12.
3rd north east poetry festival 2010
DIMAPUR: The 3rd north east poetry festival 2010 would be held from March 25 to 27 on the theme ‘the voices of truth’ at Shilpgram, Guwahati. Free gifts from Cadbury, Hindusthan Unilever and American Consulate would be given to participating poets and artists.
The workshop would be held on the topic ‘Rhythms and rhymes for children’s rights’ and ‘scripts and colours in harmony.’
A seminar on the theme ‘Socio-linguistics on the originality of poetry’ will also be held with renowned speakers expected to deliver paper presentations. Interested persons have been requested to contact Noel Manuel, coordinator North East Region, Poetry Society (India) at 09436019342.
FNR clarifies
DIMAPUR: The Forum for Naga Reconciliation has clarified to the program “Under Divine Revelation”, held from March 19-21 was not organized by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR). Nevertheless, it said that it would carry on seeking God’s leading and guidance towards Naga Reconciliation: A Journey of Common Hope.
