In connection with State Roadshow cum Aoleang 2010 at Mon on April 7 and 8, music, fashion show and extravaganza convenor Alongse Sangtam has informed interested individuals about the terms and conditions for the competitions. The dance competition would be held simultaneously during fashion show.
The competition would be open with group dance with 8 participants each, on Michael Jackson’s song ‘Dangerous’. Schools have been requested to send only the best group for pre-audition and any interested groups can participate for the audition. For the final round only the best 6 would be selected.
The venue for the pre- audition would be council hall on March 27, 10 am. The first prize for the dance competition would be Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5000 for the second and third respectively which may vary and would be notified in the later stage.
The convenor further informed that no TA/DA or other related expenditure would be provided.
The music competition will comprise of solo and bands competition. The prizes for solo include Rs.5, 000, Rs.3, 000 and Rs.2, 000 for the first, second and third respectively.
The prizes for the bands include Rs.10, 000, Rs. 7,000 and Rs.5, 000 for the first, second and third respectively while Rs. 2,000 each will be given to the Soloists can prepare any one song each and can use soundtrack or accompaniment.
There will be pre-audition on March 27, 10 am at DC’s Conference Hall.
Bands will be allowed 2 songs each and time bar will not be imposed.
The MTF with the support of ‘Casio’ will be hosting a Casio piano clinic, for the target youth between 5-13 years who have no background of music or are interested to learn the basics of piano playing, and introduction to reading music staff notation.
The Sunday school children of the local churches, schools may bring the children for participation.
