Muivah assures Kuki community
DIMAPUR: General Secretary of NSCN (IM) Th. Muivah has reassured the Kuki community that Nagas and Kukis lived together and will live together as both communities had worked together in time of NNC. He also said it was the wish of the Kukis in the early part of 60s. “Accordingly NNC recognized KTU as frontier organization NNC, we still respect the decision of our great leaders” Muivah said. The ‘Ato Kilonser’ gave this reassurance when he visited Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) at Hebron, Wednesday along with ‘Lt. Gen’. (Ret) V.S. Atem VC, Convener Steering Committee, Rh. Raising, Kilo Kilonser, Q. Tuccu, Executive Member Steering Committee and Kedutsii, former Kilo Kilonser and Executive Member of Steering Committee.
DDFA general meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Farmers’ Association (DDFA) has convened its 3rd general meeting on March 27, 9.30am at the residence of DDFA president, Lima Longchar at Signal Lhomithi Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ZYSK reconciliation service
DIMAPUR: Zhipfhemi Youth Society Khezhakeno (ZYSK) would hold a Reconciliation Service cum general meeting on April 5, 10am at Khezhakeno Revival Church (upper) in view of its forthcoming golden jubilee session scheduled to be held in January 2011. Society has informed that there would be photo session for various committees for the jubilee and further requested all Zhipfhemi Khel members to attend the service.

DIMAPUR: Kevijau village Dimapur GB, Namdi Lungalang has informed that the road from IOC to Livingstone Higher Secondary School Dimapur would be under minor repairing work on March 27. General public have been requested to cooperate for the movement of motor vehicles on the mentioned day.

NSCN (IM) Sumi region celebrates R-day
DIMAPUR : Sumi regional workers NSCN (IM) Zasibitio battalion Zunheboto celebrated Republic day on March 21 at Zasibito battalion with steering committee member Hukavi Yepthomi as chief guest who also unfurled the national flag. and delivered the speech of Yaruiwo Isack Chishi Swu. The programme was chaired by CAO and secretary Sumi region , invocation was by Chaplain Zb Bn Naga Army . GBs, elders SABAK staff and public attended the celebrations . Folks songs and special numbers were presented by Shesulimi , Mukalimi and Ghathashi villages. A volleyball exhibition match was held between Sumi regional workers and Naga army ZB Bn followed by the presentation. Benediction was pronounced by Vishika Achumi . Pastor Sumi region.
NADA to support state ROP demand forum
DIMAPUR: Nagaland AYUSH Doctors’ Association (NADA) has assured full support to All Nagaland State Service ROP Demand Forum in its appeal for implementation of 6th ROP with effect from January 1, 2006 in line with Central Civil Service Revised Pay Rules, 2008. Informing this in a press release, NADA president, Dr. Avika P. Jimo and general secretary, Dr. Shasinlo Magh stated that association had also resolved to participate and extend cooperation to the demand forum in all its future democratic activities.
FGN clarifies on kidnapping
DIMAPUR: Clarifying to the news item “ 3 held for kidnapping ‘ which appeared on March 17, ‘Commander’ 6 Bde Naga Army , FGN ‘Brig’ Tokugha Zhimo has clarified that ‘major; (retd) Obed Awomi of FGN who was held as an accomplice was force discharged from active national service on September 5 , 2007 for misuse of power, blunder and drug abuse. Therefore, Obed was never retired as stated but discharged on the same ground when he was arrested.
NSCN (I-M) ‘chaplee ministry’ informs
DIMAPUR, MAR 24 (NPN): Cautioning all responsible not to entertain rampant collection by unauthorized persons in Zunheboto and Tsuminyu region, the NSCN (I-M) “ministry of chaplee affairs” today said unwanted money mongers were imposing taxes in its name. A statement from NSCN (I-M) “ministry of chaplee affairs” secretary in-charge (finance) also informed all responsible to take up step and beware of such elements in future. The ministry of chaplee affairs stated that it would not entertain any kind of taxation already paid without the knowledge of the responsible in-charge. It has provided contact number 9402008466 to confirm the authenticity.
