A joint coordination meeting of industries sector with district administration, CO Assam Rifles and NGOs along with Konyak Union (KU) was held on February 24 at Green Ply Industry, Tizit under Mon district.
The meeting deliberated on issues including anti-social elements, forcible demand/collection and harassment being constantly met on staff of the industry. In this regard, Konyak Union has cautioned individuals/groups/institutions to stop such anti-social activities. Notifying this in a press release, union president S. Khoiwang Konyak and joint secretary, Y. Hosea Konyak stated that failure to comply would lead Konyak Union to initiate its own course of action against the culprit(s) as deemed fit for.
Konyak Union also informed that union branch Tizit Unit has been entrusted to conduct checking on such activities in the industrial sector and appealed to citizens of Tizit and Konyak community to cooperate with it. Konyak Union and officials who attended the meeting expressed gratitude to Green Ply Industry, Tizit for rendering services towards unemployed local youth and Konyak community in general.
