Entrepreneurship awareness camp
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Government College in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) Guwahati will be organizing an “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” at Dimapur Government College on March 29 and 30. The camp will emphasize on areas like personality development, behavioral competencies, motivation and entrepreneurial education etc. Students (Arts & Commerce) interested in the camp are informed to register names with the college authority on March 26. Registration shall be undertaken on first come basis as seats are limited for 75students only.
W’shop on identifying differently abled children
DIMAPUR: A two- day workshop on identification of Children with Special Needs (CWSN) covering all five EBRCs under Mon district at Tobu, Aboi, Tizit and Wakching villages is underway at Council Hall, Mon, organised by State Mission Authority, SSA, Nagaland Kohima in collaboration with District Mission Authority, SSA, Mon. Deputy Commissioner, Mon, who is also chairman of DMA, SSA, Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS addressed the participants at the workshop’s inaugural function on March 25 as chief guest and advised the gathering of VEC members, teachers, and inspectors of education department to give special treatment to educate children with special needs. Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by DEO Mon, Chubaienla Jamir followed by presentation and objective of the workshop by Tali Jami, Research Associate (IED), SMA, Kohima, Nagaland.

DIMAPUR: Meeting of all aggrieved teachers of Education department has been convened on March 26 at 3 pm at ISBT, Dimapur to discuss anomalies of SIT investigation.

DIMAPUR: All Heads of Department under Dimapur have been directed to submit names of officers and ataff along with designation & place of posting under respective establishments for appointment of supervisor/ enumerator for census 2011 to DC Dimapur on or before March 31.
AKM checks on inclusion of
Ao language in private schools
DIMAPUR: A combined team of Ao Senden Literature Board and Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) visited all private schools under Changtongya and Tuli Sub - Division on March 24. The aim of their visit to the schools was to check whether Ao language subject was included in the school curriculum as directed by Ao Senden. Ao Senden had directed all private schools under Mokokchung district to include Ao language in their school curriculum. Meanwhile, 4th Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) Presidential meeting for the tenure 2008-10 will be held at Tzudikong (Paper Mill) on March 27, 11 a.m. The meeting is hosted by Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM). All Presidents/Secretary from all ranges, subordinate units, AKM Executives, senior executives and tribunal members have been i requested to attend the meeting.
Nagaland music training camp
DIMAPUR: Withee Bible College (WBC) has invited music lovers from all over Nagaland to Nagaland music training camp to be held on May 17 to 4 at WBC premises. Seven Korean Musicians will be teaching Guitar, Violin, Key Board and also staff notation. Interested candidates have requested to give submit name through phone and proper phone number before April 30. Mess and registration fees of Rs. 1300 will be charged. State level IEC/BCC workshop underway
DIMAPUR: A two-day orientation cum review meeting of IEC/BCC is underway at JMC, Lerie Kohima from March 25 organised by State Health Society, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). District Media Officers, block extension educator, Deputy MEIO and Health Educators are attending the workshop. Resource persons on the first day included State Programme Officer, NRHM, Dr. Vizolie Suokhrie, Dr. M. Zao from ART Centre, NHAK, Kohima, Dr. M. Kire, Dr. Kika, Deputy Director NRHM, Dr. Ngangshimeren, Deputy Director, IDDCP and Chubala Pongen, ASHA/NGO Nodal Officer. DPRO Kohima, Asangla Imsong, Narola (Film Maker), Paul, Consultant (Mainstreaming) NSACS, Metevino Sakhrie, IEC Consultant, NRHM and Ajung Yaden, PDO, NRHM will be the resource persons on the second day of the workshop.
