NNP+ general meeting held

The annual general meeting cum network building of NNP+ was held from February 23 to 25 at DUDA guest house, Kohima with Alemtemshi, IAS, additional chief secretary & development commissioner as guest of honor. In the meeting Alemtemshi encouraged the PLHIV network to work whole heartedly to reach out the remaining PLHIV who are yet to access the treatment. Quoting from the Bible passage “God Help those who help themselves” he inspired PLHIV to do innovative work for sustainability so that the government too could assist the PLHIV. He also assured to look for office space as first priority. During the AGM various agendas were deliberated by the participants for the better cause of PLHIV network. All the DLN had a presentation and the findings were discussed to streamline. And also in respect to capacity building the participants were enlightened by the inputs on Good governance, HR guidelines, financial management and sustainability of the PLHIV network. The facilitators and the resource persons were Lanu, Chongtie, Longyim, Rajeev, Aching and Victor. AGM was attended by nine district level network and host of NSACS official along with Dr. Neiphi Kire, project director, NSACS. Dr. Neiphi spoke on the different activities of NSACS and suggested to work hard and assist PLHIV to access facilities. On the concluding day the DLN annual action plan were presented by all the DLN. The annual general meeting was supported by Nagaland State Aids Control Society, Nagaland.
