A Peace Rally on the theme “All for one: A common journey of hope”, under the aegis of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), organized by Naga Council, Dimapur, would be held March 6, 10 a.m. at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur. Informing this in a note, the NCD general secretary Ntsemo Ngullie has called upon the citizens of Dimapur including various communities, Hoho presidents, Church leaders, School authorities, village chairmen, colony chairmen, women bodies and the like to participate in the proposed rally. The Naga council has observed that “anti-social elements”, taking advantage of disturbed political environment, has virtually transformed Dimapur into a state unsuitable for peace loving and innocent public. Maintaining that “prevalent lawlessness” has directly or indirectly touched every home and every person, the Naga council said it was “heartrending to see our beautiful Dimapur soiled before our eyes.” Recalling that it was 22 months ago that the “hand of God sent a bright star in the Naga skies in the form of Forum for Naga Reconciliation,” the NCD said FNR under the leadership of Dr. Rev Wati Aier has efficiently secured substantial peace and understanding among all factions, politicians, civil leaders and general public. “Since the birth of FNR peace had gradually returned to the forsaken Naga areas including Dimapur,” it said. Further, stating that the road was long and weary, the NCD said, however, Naga people were now surely moving in the right direction - the direction of peace, harmony and brotherhood.
