New president SJP for Mon DIMAPUR: The Socialist Janata Party (SJP) national vice president, I.S. Akhei Achumi has appointed T. Tingsen Konyak as SJP president Mon with effect from February 27 and former district president, Manlei Konyak has been appointed as executive committee member. In a press statement issued by SJP national vice president has requested them to take charge of their respective assignments at the earliest. PSC plea to extension order realease DIMAPUR: Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) has appealed the education department for early release of extension order of adhoc teachers under Longleng DIS. In a press statement issued by Manlang Phom, president PSC said recruitment of authentic teachers to the department would prove to be fruitful for the general foundation of the students at the primary level and also in eradicating the bogus appointments. AG colony road closed from today KOHIMA: The AG colony informed that the road within the colony will be repaired and all the vehicles users are to bear the inconveniences. The road repair has started on March 2 and the road will be remained closed from March 3 till completion. All the public are requested to bear the inconveniences during the period of repairing of the road, this was informed by Akhrie-o, chairman, AG colony. LBC Mokokchung fellowship DIMAPUR: First fellowship between Lotha Baptist Church, (LBC) Mokokchung and families of Lotha Women married to other tribes, residing in Mokokchung, will be held on March 14, 11 am at Lotha Baptist Church Mokokchung. Pastor with members of Lotha Baptist Church Mokokchung has invited all families to attend the fellowship programme. . Result of Tenyidie IVth semester examinations DIMAPUR: The provisional result of Tenyidie IVth semester examinations of both regular and repeaters under Nagaland University has been declared. This has been informed in a press note issued by Dr. Kiyasetuo, director CDC and controller of examination in-charge. KVC general meeting DIMAPUR: Koio Village Council (KVC) under Wokha district has convened a general meeting on March 6 at 9 am at community hall, Koio. S. Chenisao Kikon, chairman KVC has requested all residents and non residents belonging of Koio village to attend the meeting. Further W. Myingthungo Patton, VDB secretary Koio has informed that NREGA (2009-10) audit report would be presented at general meeting and no separate information would be given. NPF seminar postponed DIMAPUR: NPF Dimapur division has informed that proposed seminar on the theme “Party constitution and party discipline” scheduled on March 6 has been postponed due to the peace rally of Forum for Naga Reconciliation which falls on the same date. In a press statement issued by Timir Choudhary, vice president i/c media has stated that decision was taken to facilitate the success of the rally and to ensure mass participation of the people. Further, NPF Dimapur division informed that time, venue and the date of the seminar would be intimated in due course of time. DCC Kiphire meeting DIMAPUR: District Congress Committee (DCC), Kiphire has convened a meeting on March 9 at 3:30pm at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire. President, DCC Kiphire has requested all DCC, DYC, Kisan cell, DNSU (I), Sevadal, ACCC 59 A/C and 60 A/C office bearers, active members of all units under DCC Kiphire, all the Congress members, office bearers and executive members of the units to attend the meeting. Further, informed that I. Imkong, president NPCC; Tokheho Yeptho, CLP leader and Sanjay Bapna, secretary AICC New Delhi would be addressing the meeting. LVC annual general meeting DIMAPUR: Longsa Village Council (LVC) under Wokha district has convened annual general meeting on March 5 at village cultural hall at 9am. Chopathung Humtsoe, chairman LVC has requested all public and Church leaders, women hohos, students and youth organisations, elders and responsible members residing in and outside the village to attend the meeting. NVC general meeting DIMAPUR: A general meeting of Nungying Village Council (NVC) has been convened on March 13, 7:30am at Nungying village community hall. The council has notified that attendance would be taken and members who failed to attend the meeting would not be allowed to rise any objection whatsoever in regard to any resolution passed in the meeting. Further, all NVC members residing in and outside the village have been requested to attend the meeting and to contact P. Chumdemo Ngullie, 9862876536 for additional information. DPDB Zunheboto meeting deferred DIMAPUR: Monthly meeting of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has been deferred to March 9 at 11am at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Zunheboto. K. Sekhamo, district planning officer and member secretary (DPDB), Zunheboto has requested all members to take note of the changes and attend the meeting. IEC and HRD workshop DIMAPUR: IEC and HRD workshop sponsored by CCDU (PHED) for Watsan committee members (communitized villages and TSC villages) of Dimapur district has been convened on March 5 at 10am at IMC Hall, Dimapur with ADC Dimapur Sedivikho Khro as the chief guest. LUWT general meeting DIMAPUR: Longla Union Wokha Town (LUWT) has convened a general meeting on March 6 at 1pm at Lijamo Kikon, Blue Hill colony. Robin N. Kyong, chairman LUWT has requested all Longla citizen of Wokha town to attend the meeting. DC Dimapur on prevention of fire DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Maongwati Aier has informed all villages under Dimapur district that due date for burning of jungle or otherwise should be intimated to their neighboring villages and administration in advance for taking necessary precautionary measures. DC in an order stated that in case of fire incident if not informed causing destructions of property or lost of lives would be fined and any compensation required would be imposed on the defaulting villages. SVC condemns DIMAPUR: Senjum Village Council (SVC) has expressed shock over the kidnapping incident which occurred within the jurisdiction of the village and further condemned such ‘barbaric’ deed in the civilized world. Thungbemo Lotha, head GB and Chumjamo Kikon, chairman SVC in a joint press statement has warned that who so ever would try to tarnish the good image of the village in near future will be liable for untoward punishment and the culprit will be solely held responsible for everything.
